Each night, you dream about a heartbreakingly beautiful stranger.

They want to spirit you away to another world, forever.

Will you go with them?

Content warning: This is a game about loneliness, helplessness, and intimacy. It's not explicitly about self-harm, but it does have a subtext of "what if I disappeared forever?" If those themes are distressing for you, please take care.

In order to play, you'll need some kind of journal, and a deck of cards. Tarot is best, but regular playing cards will work too.

The journal belongs to you.  The face-down cards belong to your paramour. Both the journal and the cards are private, and you must respect each other's privacy.

A tumbling block tower also recommended, if you have one. The tower represents your waking life. Your paramour is not allowed to touch it.

This is a game for one player.

Hello will you add more community copies? Would love a copy of this!

Hi,

I was wondering if you were planning on adding more community copies of this game? :)

Hi, Peter. I just wanted to tell you that "Paramour" is a beautiful and wonderful game. ❤ I haven't finished my play through yet, as I'm playing without the tower and using all my tarot cards. I have to say this game is definitely worth it. Meeting my paramour has been an amazing journey thus far. 😊

Hi, Peter. I was wondering if there are anymore community copies available? I would love to play this game as I've been on a Wretched & Alone kick recently, but I'm unable to afford it at the listed price. Please let me know if you can. Thank you. 🙂

sure thing! enjoy, stranger ✨

Piggybacking a bit: are community copies being offered right now? I'd love to get my hand on a copy if you're still offering. No worries if not. Cheers & thank you in advance!

Hiya!  I just purchased this game and I'm super excited to play it :) It really looks great!

But, I'm wondering...Erm.. is there any way to get a printable copy of the PDF?  I don't always have access to a PC or electronic device, so it would be amazing to have a hard copy :)

no worries! I've just uploaded a very simple printer-friendly version. (it's just a printout from my Google Docs draft, but hopefully it should do the job)

Thanks so much, that did work a treat!

But, I did want to say for the record, the original PDF is also quite stunning and I love the design of it :)  But I'm SO SO glad to have this printer-friendly option too.  I'm super excited to play!  It'll be my first ever solo journaling RPG :)  I'll come back and leave a review after I finish.

Thanks again for the prompt reply and solution!

the suit of Trumps is not as expanded as the other suits, nor broken down by individual card.  is that intentional?

(+1)

That's intentional. When you reveal a trump card, the voice in your heart has something to say to you. This game trusts that you'll know how to listen.

Sometimes the message will be confusing, and that can put a strain on the relationship. (How much do you trust the voice in your heart? How well do you really know them?)

Other times, the meaning will be obvious. Sometimes it'll hit you hard, and sometimes it will land very gently.
